Upon being given my 3D object ( a Tupperware container) I decided to carry out appropriate research to greater my understanding of its function and the materials properties. Tupperware containers are used to store food or goods. Which lead to me questioning if this is a possible health concern, as these containers that come into contact with what we eat could possibly leach chemicals into food. However, from my research I understood high-density polyethylene( the plastic used for most Tupperware products) is safe and non-toxic. Therefore, doesn’t release any harmful chemicals to food of liquid content. It is also a micro-wave safe product, allowing consumers to heat up food. These containers also environmentally friendly as they are designed for long term use.
