Guillaume ApollinaireHe used poetry as a way of escapism during the war. His poems were effective due to his typeface and spacial arrangement which worked to create an image. In this sense the visuals could be considered to be just as important as the text. His style was something I intended to incorporate in my own work; a typeface to add meaning to a composition.







Reza Abedini

  A recognisable Iranian graphic designer, who combines simple illustrations with poetic typography which has heavily been influenced by his Islamic heritage Persian language. I was captured due to his beliefs being voiced through his artwork.
