3DCP: 3RS/ Initial Ideas

As a designer I had to consider different approaches I could take in creating something that meets people’s needs and requirements, but is also creative and original. Sketching enabled me to conceptualize my ideas quickly. My first idea was a water dispenser, which is a machine used to cool and pump water. It had a similar aesthetic and shape as my original product (Tupperware). However, it was very basic therefore decided not to develop it.



I then started to consider what we lacked in our environment ,as I wanted a design that solved problems for us. Which lead to me designing a greenhouse as similar to a plastic container, it is transparent. 





This idea was a skyscraper, which is a tall structure. I figured that by overlapping my containers it would give the impression of many floors, whilst by sticking some on the side it would look like balcony’s. However, this lacked excitement and imagination so once again wasn’t developed but instead used as a starting point.
