The title for this project was 'Beyond The Fundamental' in which i was given the task to recreate room 901 902 into a student bar. In general the London student bar scene is something of an unattractive character with fears of watered down, over- priced drinks filled with hostility. Therefore, I aim to overcome this problem by helping young Ravensbourne students in this increasingly expensive city by creating a tranquil bar for them to unwind, socialize and gather whilst ordering high quality snacks and food at a low cost. There would be larger tables for students to  communicate and do group work as well as areas where they can have privacy. I aim to create my final model on Google Sketch-Up (a 3D modelling software) which will aid my project and enable me to navigate within my space. I will also create floor plans ,with correct measurements of the room including the walls, windows and doors(ratio 1:20).

Colin Seah
Singapore Architect Colin Seah created a bar aimed at young, design-conscious travelers. The carefully thought interior has been heavily influenced by the history of the area. I was captured by the wallpaper which is made up of sketches, text, culture, graphic images and the architecture of the neighborhood.

Salon Sociedad
Salon Sociedad bar has black and white tiles, wooden furniture and brick curves creating a dark yet warm ambiance. The material palette evokes haunting charm with a twist. Whereas, the large glazed windows bring inn natural light into this dimly lit space.

Sanja Premrn
Sanja created a 'light and bright' bar, by combining plywood and patterned tiling. A sense of angular geometries is present throughout the cafe bar. The cold space has been warmed up with pastel colored wood.
