Moodboard: Different bar designs and layouts, which could serve as inspiration.  Colin Seah Bar Salon Sociedad Sanja Premrn The title for this project was 'Beyond The Fundamental' in which i was given the task to recreate room 901 902 into a student bar. In general the London student bar scene is something of an unattractive character with fears of watered down, over- priced drinks filled with hostility. Therefore, I aim to overcome this problem by helping young Ravensbourne students in this increasingly expensive city by creating a tranquil bar for them to unwind, socialize and gather whilst ordering high quality snacks and food at a low cost. There would be larger tables for students to  communicate and do group work as well as areas where they can have privacy. I aim to create my final model on Google Sketch-Up (a 3D modelling software) which will aid my project and enable me to navigate within my space. Guillaume Apollinaire He used poetry as a way of escapism during the war. His poems were effective due to his typeface and spacial arrangement which worked to create an image. In this sense the visuals could be considered to be just as important as the text. His style was something I intended to incorporate in my own work; a typeface to add meaning to a composition. Reza Abedini   A recognisable Iranian graphic designer, who combines simple illustrations with poetic typography which has heavily been influenced by his Islamic heritage Persian language. I was captured due to his beliefs being voiced through his artwork.

Since I was redesigning a room in a University with 2,190 students, I figured I wanted to design a welcoming room for people to relax, socialize and unwind from everyday stress. It was important for me to carefully consider furniture, colour scheme, practicality ,mood and atmosphere. All which would contribute to making a restful space.
