Guillaume Apollinaire He used poetry as a way of escapism during the war. His poems were effective due to his typeface and spacial arrangement which worked to create an image. In this sense the visuals could be considered to be just as important as the text. His style was something I intended to incorporate in my own work; a typeface to add meaning to a composition. Reza Abedini   A recognisable Iranian graphic designer, who combines simple illustrations with poetic typography which has heavily been influenced by his Islamic heritage Persian language. I was captured due to his beliefs being voiced through his artwork.

3DCP: Indvidualisation /Sketches

Prior to creating my final 3D model I decided to draw some rough sketches in my book, as this is an important element of any design process. Conceptualizing my idea on paper has always been and will continue to be an important part of the design process. It was easy,fast and could be done anywhere. For example the sketches below I completed at the library, classroom and comfort of my home. This enabled me to constantly develop my ideas or work back into them if I felt that they lacked interest/ detail. I also noticed that the process was visual exploration of ideas, as one sketch would lead to another (showing an exploration of ideas). My initial sketches were of wooden boats- focusing on the shapes, structure and planks.For this I had to gain knowledge of the different selection of boats on the market, from traditional boats to classic yachts. I knew I wanted my designs to be a mixture of traditional and modern techniques and materials ,similar to a 'classic small craft boat...

FASHION :Reflective Research/ museum visit

Prior to starting my wearable art project I decided to carry out some research, as this would enable me to build knowledge and equip myself with the information needed to make informed decisions when creating my final piece. As part of my research I decided to visit the Museum of London, located on London Wall. This enabled me to establish traditional clothing from prehistoric times, which I could then compare to modern fashion.
